Well, cats put in a lot of effort in order to breed this kind of confusion. They seriously want humans to subconsciously confuse their features with that of a baby's in order to activate our maternal instincts and get free food.
They also put in a lot of work so they can look like snakes. That is what is up with their hissing faces (ears back so they are in profile with their neck, fangs bared, …hissing). Because they want that 1 second of confusion that rides on the instinct to no mess with snakes. And in that 1 second, cat gets the heck out of there.
So basically, if you ever wondered what a human/snake hybrid would look like as a baby….just look at a cat.
