This isn't the first time that I've gotten stuff cut out. Last year in the aftermath of Sandy Hook and the Movie theater tragedy, a news outlet came out to the shop and asked about video games. They were trying to see if there was anyway that they could tie in the popularity of blops 2 with gun violence. I pointed out that you don't learn about guns by playing games with guns in it. They edited me down to saying I didn't learn about shooting guns from video games, which was pretty funny. This piece was odd because my entire assumption about GG is that it stemmed from the Zoe Quinn incident and the lack of transparency in gaming journalism. I was a little puzzled how GG went from that to Shingeki no Anita and violence against women in games. They did cut a lot of the points I made about journalism and the industry's direction. They did ask me my overall opinion on Anita and edited that too. I was a little put off out that they did put some words in my mouth. I did put it out there I don't agree with dox'ing people or death threats over something like video games but I don't think everyone who is calling for some sort of transparency is one of the bad guys. It isn't fair It's like how the media tied the looters in to the Ferguson protests or recently the police shootings in NYC with the eric gardner protests.
