It should be noted though, that Brian Banks was able to restart his career and currently plays for the Atlanta Falcons, the kickstarter was ultimately funded, and the woman who falsely accused him was forced to repay the money she won in a law suit in a case against her school district because of the false allegations. So that story does have a happy ending, although unrelated to gender or racial politics.

Keep in mind, Sarkeesian had a huge boost from the Streisand effect. As soon as her project was announced, the entire internet exploded over it. So of course at that point, with all that free publicity, she's going to get her money.

Also, the Banks case brings up problems with the racism and general insanity of the American justice system. There's a lot more going on here than "the feminists got him sent to jail."
