Dener Comic Con First, perhaps you should get your story straight (and learning to spell would help if you want to be taken seriously). We are not discriminating against anyone and simply asked someone who asked us about a shirt not to wear it because the only purpose in doing so is to inspire trouble among attendees. It's a perfectly reasonable request for a family- friendly event that hosts tens of thousands of people who are there to have fun not be involved in someone else's cause, particularly since that cause has a publicly controversial and violent element. We run a nonprofit organization that teaches literacy and arts to kids and populations (mostly those in need) and 98% of the people here are volunteers to this cause. We are not invested in the "Gamergate" situation one way or the other, but something that has such an ugly and violent public face (despite whatever this group is claiming to be actually doing-that's their PR problem to deal with) is a situation that will not be playing itself out on our turf. We have our own mission to promote and will continue to work toward our nonprofit, educational goals and serving our public (which includes everyone from all walks of life, including so-called Gamergaters) to the best of our ability. But no one is going to be disruptive, disrespectful or openly hateful or they can leave our event. That is completely reasonable, by the way. 4 hrs- Like

Author has 304 answers and 740.1K answer views. 5y Not that I care that much either way, but it did expose a lot of corrupt game developers and game journalists. X Journalists would make claims of people like Anita Sarkeesian "playing video games all her life" when she openly admitted many times she is not a gamer and only starter recently (when it wasn't for an interview). Various developers trading sex or money for good reviews got exposed, journalists who accepted got exposed. People became a bit more critical about supporting a game just because the developer has a victim complex stating tat their game could have only failed because of sexism, instead of their own poor developing skills. What really sealed the deal was opposition often faking their own harassment. Anita sarkeesian and Zoe Quinn have been caught multiple times screenshotting "harassment" while showing that the harrasser's account name in the login. Or when someone called the police to help Sarkeesian against a "very real threat" she was posting about, only for police to find the harasser's messages were coming from her IP address. Some of the Wikipedia staff were working for George Soros's Open Society Institute. I adamantly refuse to believe that this is reasonable. People are free to wear whatever they want and if it is illegal (like public nudity) then they can deal with that situation. I could walk down the street in a full nazi outfit and I could not be arrested for it. People could throw rocks at me, people could insult me, someone would probably even try to come up and throw a few punches. But there is legally nothing someone could do about it. If I show up at a convention with a GG shirt, I have done nothing wrong. And there is legally nothing the organizers can do about it. I would like to see them try to remove me from a convention for wearing a fucking shirt!
