This was Capcom's plan all along! They sent Ryu to screw up the Nintendo's eShop systems, crippling their sales! Capcom originally sent Mega Man to do the job, but he was compromised by seeing all of his former friends and couldn't get the job done, so they sent Ryu in to do the job for them, unaffected by the sight of former allies since he betrayed Nintendo long ago! He's a double agent sent to be the herald of Nintendo's doom!
