;Gay Fuel was an energy drink marketed by Florida-based Specialty Spirits, LLC towards the gay community, using the slogan “GET FIRED UP.” It was similar to Red Bull but made more “gay.” With the liquid being pink and the can lined with rainbow stripes, the drink was the ultimate stereotype.

As of 2008, the official website has gone offline which most likely means Gay Fuel wasn’t successful as a drink. However, it would have another life in the tubes of the internet.

Origin

The original Gay Fuel YTMND was created by user petercoffin. However, it did not gain popularity until user inkdrinker uploaded Gay Fuel on June 6, 2004. This version used Tarzan Boy by Baltimora instead of the original audio (Which was surprisingly fitting.) and a higher quality image.

Many sites were made depicting characters promoting or using Gay Fuel (or a similar product), such as Gay Fuel testimonial commercial .
