This meme originated on the Classic Everquest Project 1999 servers. Originally created to make fun of a prominent celebrity of the community, Tiggles, or Quickfingers Quickerblade in game, by an anonymous user going by the name of Diggles, who copied a thread and replaced it with opposite names (guild, items) in a rant sub-forum. A week after the post, Diggles and Tiggles started wearing the same avatar on the forums and frequently copied each others posts. Now, there are multiple iterations of “iggles” on the forum.
It is unknown whether or not these are separate people or all just Tiggles trying to gain attention.
