John Cena is the username of a member to the site bungie.net.

He actively used the "Off Topic: The flood" forum to spam 'meatspin' links by repeatedly spamming JOHNCENA as a hyperlink across his post body.

Despite the fact he spammed websites of which nobody would really enjoy, his popularity grew, and most users of the "Flood Forum" recognize him from his many alternate accounts. Of which he creates to avoid his permanent bans he received on his original account, and the next one e.t.c.

Spread

Many of you shouldn't know of him exactly as "The Floodians" do. Although, you might have seen people before who have spammed JOHNCENA about a million times in their post. Yes, they are copying him, of course they aren't hyperlinking you to a meatspin website, but they are in fact just spamming you.

This has been done on various websites across the web, such as facebook and youtube.

Example:

On one day in October, (specific date unknown) Some users on the flood forum of bungie.net decided it would be a funny idea if they organised an attack on Rebecca Black's "Friday" video on Youtube. This of course resulted in random spamming of JOHN CENA on the video's comments list.

This is one of the most obvious accounts of the John Cena meme being spread.

Facebook

One time on the flood forum, someone had the idea of creating a JOHN CENA fanpage.

(This really should have been cropped)

It has a few bits and pieces in there, but otherwise it doesn't really account for much as it was randomly created by a typical floodian.
