Y U BRAKE GAME

After a bout of multiple server crashes involving the Whirlwind Battlegroup in World of Warcraft, a character/god known as Uhuru created a small Technical Support thread that would forever change realm-downtime in the game.

The thread was immediately responded to and locked by a moderator. Apparently thousands of people found this hilarious.

A few days later, after a third battlegroup crash, multple follow-up threads had been created by fans of the original, each of which grew several pages in length before being either locked or deleted permanently. After a few locked threads, the Tech Support forum front-page was soon covered in a slew of threads.

Soon, Y U BRAKE GAME threads began sprouting up all over. Realm forums were being spammed with multi-page threads, and even other games caught on to the phrase.

Now, only a month later, you will be hard-pressed to experience any problem in the game without having your screen spammed with the words "Y U BRAKE GAME".

The phrase grew in popularity so much that Google's auto-fill actually picks up on the phrase.

Currently, Google comes up with about 1,450 results for "Y U BRAKE GAME" (in quotes). This doesn't include the numerous other posts with different variations of the grammatically incorrect phrase.

This meme owes its existence to the Warcraft guild Casual, and the beloved realm of Hyjal.
