Zootopia - Undercover Agents

Zootopia at one point actually was a spy movie, and Nick was going to be the secret agent protagonist. Then it became a dystopian noir film with Nick running an underground club for predators, and Judy was kind of a racist asshole because the city was largely controlled by rabbits. Predators were oppressed and had to wear shock collars that would knock them out when they got too angry or excited. It was in production for about a year and then they decided to re-write the movie as a buddy cop film, because they decided the noir film was too depressing, and they were worried that the audience was going to end up hating the city and not think it was worth saving.
