See The Winner Of May 2024's Meme Of The Month!
And the meme of May 2024 goes to…
Congratulations all of you who love borrowing galvanized square steel and eco-friendly wood veneers from your aunt, because it's Unhinged Home Design memes that take the crown this month with over 14 percent of the votes. Originally posted on Bilibili since 2021 and greatly enhanced by unhinged commentary about Little John trying to make coffin-sized rooms livable for himself and his endless offspring, the meme blew up on TikTok thanks to the efforts of channels like @homedesign369 and @dy02449xjp. Here's to galvanized steel adding that much-needed fifth dimension.

Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar Feud
The feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake was all the talk in late April and early May, with the two throwing diss after diss at each other, and other rappers taking sides. Per general consensus, Lamar took the upper hand in the beef, but the real achievement here was the feud blowing up so much that even the crowd far away from the rap scene couldn't help but tune in to understand what's going on. The Lamar vs. Drake beef and many memes about it get second place with 13% of total votes.
Thour 🍋
There was little doubt that Thour would be the top art meme of the month and rank high on the list. The format exploits a simple concept: a character licks a lemon and makes a face that is so sour that it crawls inside itself. The hilarious idea was developed further by artworks applying the idea beyond just living things — Black Holes, computer folders, and cars could get Thoured too! With 11.5 percent of total votes, Thour lands neatly into the third place.
New York-Dublin Portal
You heard about Kendrick Lamar vs. Drake beef, and now a little something about a beef by the people and for the people. The "Portal" installations establishing a live feed between New York and Dublin sounded like a great idea on paper, but was doomed to fall victim to people who took it upon themselves to roast the other city with zero mercy. There were Dubliners showing 9/11 pics to New Yorkers, a Dubliner broadcasting "corn" from their phone, and a Dubliner being arrested live, but ultimately it was a New York flasher who put in the final nail, with the sculpture being shut down until everybody chills out and behaves. Fourth place with 11 percent of the votes.
Lebron James, Scream If You Love X
LeBron James' pre-game ritual was a thing online fandoms found very relatable. Screaming to confirm that he loves [insert fandom name here], LeBron James proceeds to perform moves, spells, and gestures, with memes turning him into an honorary fan of every fandom on Earth. LeBron James, scream if you love this fifth place that 8 percent of people voted for.
And now the memes that didn't believe in the heart of cards and therefore did not manage to make it to the top five (but we love them anyway): the tough choice between meeting a bear or a man in the woods (6%), a fan being extremely hyped about Madison Beer (5.5%), coolest things ever (5%), Dr. Mario's previously unknown origin story (4.5%), Mario again, but with a goth girl (3.5%), the Egg Blinker smoking method (3.5%), not being able to perfectly explain what you do (3%), King Charles' portrait being that much extra (3%), "Everyone knows that," one of the two important lost media found this month (3%), RFK Jr.'s long-dead brain worm (2%), Snake Eyes, 88 Teeth and the rest of the gang (1.5%), and lastly some cheek grabbing material (1.5%).
Thank you for voting and see you next month!
