Ah, the good old days when they still judge people by merit and not what's between their crotch or the color of the skin.

It surprised me to learn that Lauren Faust herself considers this episode an "old shame" of hers (along with the infamous Foster's episode "Everyone Knows it's Bendy"). Now unlike the Fosters episode (which she regrets due to the episode being overly mean spirited and Bendy being a huge asshole karma houdini) she said she regrets it mainly on the basis that she feels the topic of feminism, even if it was classic feminism and not radical feminism, was a bit "much" for a "kids show" to properly get across. In a way I guess you could say the episode is probably appreciated much more nowadays due to there being a general agreement that this episode of PPG is one of the few times mainstream media portrayed feminism in a non-radical manner that people can get behind, as it shows how misandry and misogyny are both equally wrong, and radical feminists give moderate feminism a bad name.
