I have, and i can confirm. Western Comics handle their political messages about as well as a teenager handles booze. The mangas are often written by people who know how to keep their worlds politics coherent to their world. No turning the xmen into an exclusively gay analogue, and having mutant pride marches while also ignoring the mutant supremacists and Armageddon causing mutants. Imo, I'll take a sloppy mess like Black Clover over the best the industry has to offer atm.

It speaks volumes that one of the best runs of these new age heroes, Riri Williams, is being handled by a person whose not worked on comics at all, and whose experience was a poet who won the chance to work on the comic via a petition.

Comic book writing is populated by hacks who think all they need to do to tell a great story is be woke, while forgetting 95% of the storylines that Come before them, and can't be bothered to read up on their characters lore, which is why so many books keep getting rebooted. Meanwhile you got series that can span 10 go 20 years and still keep a consistent plot, narrative, and storylines, with manga.
