Name a thing you know the Nazis did during World War II. Congrats, youve just named something Japan did. Concentration camps? yup. Massacring of civilians, yup. Cruel experimentation on innocent people? absolutely. Torture? Routinely. Slave labor? Yup. They even did something Nazis didnt and forced women in captured countries to be "comfort women", which basically means they either got to get raped every day, or they got to get dead.

A combination of a lot of factors including the Nukes, Communist China not wanting to bring it up for various reasons, Nazi Germany being just as cruel, and Japan being culturally important in the West keep people from wanting to see how evil Japan really was back then. All you really need to do is look up the rape of Nanking to realize how evil Japan really was back then.
