Super Mario - Papercut Mario

I have a feeling I've seen this before.

A character with the ability to turn themselves/something "two-dimensional", which most think as harmless until it is pointed out they're so thin they can simply swooce through three-dimensional matter, cutting it in the process.

He's aware of the Pandora's box he opened.
