Tails is still in Westside Middle School, but Sonic walks with them to school everyday even if it takes them a block or two out of their way.

Sonic and Knuckles go to different high schools (South High and Angel High), and they are the ace players on their schools respective soccer teams, making them natural rivals.

And while I'm on this train, Amy's counterpart is an androgynous boy who transferred to South High a little while ago, and has been crushing on Sonic ever since she helped him out with a mugger (Metal) who assaulted her on the way home from school one day.

I guess Eggman is a teenage delinquent Eggma'am?
