Gender is what you say you are. you say you're a boy? you've stated your gender.

unless you were talking about what junk you've got in the trunk. you say you have a fish taco in your panties? you've stated your sex.

so a person says "i'm a boy", but has a vagina and pillowy mounds instead of a floppy sausage, that person is a girl in the biological sense but identifies as a boy.

so that person's Gender (what they identify as) is Boy, but that person's Sex (what they were born as) is Girl.
