Can I be a space lawyer?

Technically, there are laws pertaining to the moon, and pretty much all of space. No nation can put weaponry in orbit, nor can they claim territory off-world. This makes it so that you can technically own all of the solar system, you just have to say that you do, but no one's gonna believe you because no one's backing you up about it. Maybe that's why damn near every sci-fi ever has nearly all the galaxy being owned by mega-corps…
