I feel like that I am the only one who thinks that Kuvira actually does love Bartaar Jr.
The only difference between the two is that Kuvira is more focused on its goal over his love which is the exact opposite for Bartaar.

Hitler was the same. He actually loved his wife and niece but he was so mind fucked, that he wouldn't even have a second thought about not killing them.
