Oh, how the tables have turned.

It's because casual elitists don't understand and won't look into the competitive side of Smash, and automatically assume that competitive players take the fun out of everything (which they don't).

They assume that tier lists tell you what characters you should use, when that isn't the case. Tier lists show the state of the current metagame, showing what characters and which characters suffer in the current meta. Casual elitists don't understand this and don't make the effort to look into it and try to get an understanding of it and just come in with cancerous and butthurt comments such as "tiers r 4 queers."
