Circlejerk from people not even watching his more recent videos aside (and probably did not even watch this one, or they would otherwise know he will KEEP making videos, as he will only delete his channel but will still make videos somewhere else, so you can take your "nothing of value was lost" and shove it inside the nearest cavity you see around you): at first, this seemed like a usual bluff from him. But then he released this video:
β¦he seems to mean business, and he has a solid reason for it, too.
Like or hate the guy, not only is his most recent content much needed criticism on YouTube today, but he is also one of the few YouTubers that YouTube actually gives a shit about. If he goes through with this, YouTube will not be happy. Maybe, just maybe, that will change things for good.
He, along with h3h3, are the 2 most influential YouTube critics right now, and there is no one else to blame but YouTube themselves by turning their back at those giving them money, to begin with.
I like PewDiePie, personally. I grew out of his old humor, but some of his newer stuff is solid.
However, I'm totally down for him deleting his channel, because I feel like YouTube losing their biggest money maker would shake things up real bad. Which is something we need. A good shock of reality to the braindead idiots running the site.
