As a musician and someone who is currently studying music and composition; this video is dumb. I'd explain it, but Adam Neely already did a video that describes it better than I ever could.

Basically, there's no such thing as a "Christmas chord", it sounds like a Christmas song because it sounds like a lot of songs written during the tin pan alley era, where a lot of our Christmas songs come from. Also, the chord progression is nothing more than a IV – iv I progression (the dm7b5 is functioning more as an Fm/D, borrowing from either the relative minor or harmonic major, depending on how you look at it), an incredibly popular cadence that is used in plenty of songs which DON'T sound christmassy.
