Jaden Smith - Jaden Smith Saves Anime

There can only be one nigga who rule the anime world and Jaden Smith ain't one of them.

It feels so pretentious and generally ingenuine, especially with Jaden Smith voicing it. The protag sounds so out-of place and spaced out, using forced humor and tired one-liners throughout the trailer. The content itself seems to showcase a lot of clichés, i,e, the rich snooty asshole rival, the “Chosen One”, and the general lack of emotion from the main character. He doesn't even sound like he cares at all about the role. That isn't the only issue with the dialogue in this show. There are instances where the dialogue is laughably bad. For example, “She got possessed? That sucks.” Which would make any person just stop watching and ask themselves how someone could possibly be that ingenuously apathetic after hearing such news. There are other examples, bringing up the question of why a show inspired by shounen anime, about a boy who gains powers to fight an occult in a futuristic city feature phrases like “Yo, we gotta these these… fuckboys a lesson… you can’t give … satisfaction, ?”. Somehow, Jaden’s delivery of his lines makes them so emotionless, that they’ve gone past of point of It’s so bad, it’ funny and just flat out boring.
