You know, I think there is an underrated part of video game graphics few players or reviewers touch on: how well the visuals convey information. Sure, you can have a game with 1080p 60fps and massive amounts of visual detail, but if everything is all chaotic and cluttered and you can't tell what is going on, what is the point? I love his comparison of the original Halo and the more recent ones. Sure, if you were to take a screenshot of the game the newer games look better, but Halo isn't a photograph, it's a game and Halo 1's graphics were more conducive to actually playing the game, and so are the superior graphics.
