The latin american voices until season 15 were fucking godly. And not only that, but they could create fantastic jokes on their own on the occasion some didn't make sense for the audience. It's the only show i'd say the local dub is on par with the source languaje.

From 16 onwards is crap. The voices fell extremelly off, similar but not enough, making you fall into an uncanney valley. And some voices sound naturally like jerks (like Bart or most of the newer characters).

That's why on latin america most believe season 15 was the last passable one.

Oh, I absolutely agree with this (up until season 15, as Hot Sauce pointed out), and Humberto Vélez is indeed the main man responsible for it. He is a legendary voice actor in Latin America – our own Tara Strong, perhaps even more daring, since he adds his personal touch to all the characters he voices.

Here is another Simpsons moment improved by the LA dub not mentioned here:

The Spanish one is better since "helado" is the one-word translation of ice cream which just got phonetically cut in half for the joke, making it even more of an absurd situation than originally depicted, and Vélez voiced it with that in mind.
