After years of hype, speculation, and rumors. The long-awaited Dream face reveal finally arrived yesterday, and it was definitely anti-climatic, to say the least. Despite the apparent "leaks" that surfaced about Dream's face years ago (also on Twitter), he turned out to look like a very normal dude. For most of us, we never really cared about how he looked (or even really knew who he was) to begin with. But for some dedicated fans, he did not meet the expectations that they had for how he would look, which has left Twitter in shambles.

Quite frankly, the online community can be very ruthless, especially when you're an influencer who shows his face online. And since there was a LOT of hype for this event (The YouTube premiere for the face reveal had over 1 million concurrent viewers), it's only natural that there would be lots of memes to follow. At the very least, I must commend Dream for taking all the criticism like a champ, and just letting the people online do their thing because, at the end of the day, there's nothing else you can do.
