Want a Macaron? and variations like Want a Taco?, Want a Hot Dog? and Want a Brownie? refer to a drawing of a woman with orange hair and a chef's hat holding a tray of macaroons in which her vagina is included in the lineup of food. The drawing became a meme when it sparked exploitable variations using the phrasal template "Want a X?" with the "X" replaced with different food items like tacos and hot dogs, which were shown on a tray, subtly including the genitalia of the chef that resembled the chosen dish. The Want a Macaron meme trended en masse on TikTok and Twitter / X in mid-May 2025. The original Want a Macaron meme was created by Australian artist David the Robot in 2021.

Origin

On April 25th, 2021, Australian artist David the Robot posted a drawing to his private Instagram^[1][2] account, @davidtherobot, which showed a female chef with a plate of macaroons, asking the viewer, "Want a macaron?" Her vagina was a part of the spread. Over four years, the post received roughly 36,200 likes (censored image shown below).

The image was first reposted by 9GAG ^[12] user @9GAGGER on April 25th, 2021, gaining over 500 upvotes in four years.

Memes using the Want a Macaron drawing were shared on social media in the following months. For instance, on July 12th, 2021, Instagram^[3] user @thetinderblog reposted a meme from @_taxo_ which added a top caption about a friend saying, "Your crush is coming, don't act too desperate!" The post received over 90,700 likes in four years (shown below).

The meme spread en masse in 2025, following several viral photo slideshows, which were posted to TikTok. For instance, on May 13th, TikToker^[4] @wobblywobblewawobblewob shared a new, original drawing of the Want a Macaron lady, gaining over 1.5 million likes in six days.

On May 17th, TikToker^[5] @olamwami shared a new iteration called "Want a Hot Dog?" which showed a male chef with his penis in a tray of hot dogs. The drawing received over 23,400 likes in two days (censored image shown below).

On May 18th, 2025, TikToker^[6] @want_a posted an iteration called "Want a Donut?" which showed the female chef with her breasts in a tray of donuts, gaining over 527,900 likes in a day (censored image shown below).

That same day, X^[7] user @kenmiaouh_64 tweeted the Want a Macaron and Want a Hot Dog memes, captioning them, "I'm collecting images like these, send or reply with it if U have any similar," gaining over 11,000 likes in a day (censored image shown below).

Also on May 18th, 2025, TikToker^[8] @thefatgluttonousking posted a video, which showed a collage of different food items in the "Want a Macaron?" trend, adding a text caption that wrote the snowclone "Want a ____?" In a day, the video received over 231,000 likes (shown below).

Want a Brownie?

Sometime in late May 2025, a currently unknown TikToker shared an iteration of the "Want a Macaron?" trend that asked, "Want a brownie?" The drawing showed the female chef's backside with the "brownie" being her anus with fecal matter. The photo was likely deleted from TikTok for violating community guidelines.

Its first known repost was a meme shared by TikToker^[10] @jaxongohard on May 18th, 2025, who added a text caption, joking about the drawing being a friend's class notes. The post has since been deleted (censored image shown below).

The Want a Brownie iteration gained notoriety over other versions of the Want a Macaron meme. For instance, on May 20th, 2025, TikToker^[11] @lexiraemf shared a video, writing, "You think 'want a brownie' was bad, I just discovered 'want a twizzler,'" receiving over 476,500 likes in a day (shown below).
