So during the Super Bowl last night, we got to see the first glimpse of the Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power trailer. And frankly, a lot of us aren't sure how to feel about it. The Lord of the Rings fandom has been both patiently awaiting and dreading the new Amazon show based on their favorite trilogy. This upcoming series is meant to serve as a prequel of sorts; other than that, we have very limited information about it. It's been a mystery for years as production continued in secrecy. But now that the trailer is out, we can have some opinions on the show we haven't yet seen. It's very CGI-based (which isn't surprising) and we still know absolutely nothing about the plot, but hey, maybe it looks fun, at least. But while we wait to see this series either amaze us or completely flop, we can simply make memes about the original trilogy, since those will never age badly. These are some of our favorites.
