20 Photos Proving We Live In A Boring Dystopia
When we think of a dystopian society, generally we think of the kinds of worlds that are depicted in popular books and movies such as The Hunger Games and Divergent. These settings are extreme aftermaths of wars and other great tragedies and the resulting society is intense. This isn't the only kind of dystopia, though. Just because we aren't in a tragic situation seen in the books and movies doesn't mean we don't live in a somewhat dystopian place; ours is just much more boring.
With technology constantly improving, we are becoming more and more detached from reality. A.I. and V.R. are making it easy to escape from the real world and are making what is real and what is not harder to tell apart from each other. Additionally, as companies and billionaires get more money hungry, the spread of advertising only grows as well. There is seldom a place in the world where you won't see some sort of advertising being done. Consume, consume consume.
