Tumblr posts can be highly informative, as some very knowledgeable people use their blogs to post facts about their specialized interests and fields. Other times, they are the dumbest posts ever put on the internet.

This collection celebrates both ends of the spectrum, because both the insightful posts and the very dumb posts can make you stroke your chin and go "hmmm…" The top posts from the /r/CuratedTumblr subreddit this week have largely moved out of politics and gone back to celebrating the surreal and witty posts from Tumblr present and past. This is a welcome turn for the subreddit, as it's providing an excellent distraction from a stressful news cycle.

From jeans so high-waisted they become a shirt to some very incorrect statements about ants, these posts should leave you thinking. Perhaps they won't be productive thoughts, but you will be thinking nonetheless.
