'Overwatch 2' Beta Causes Resurgence In Memes

Finally, after waiting for years for any sort of significant content update to the game, Overwatch fans were delighted to finally be able to try and get into the beta for Overwatch 2. Unfortunately, what awaited players who managed to get in was more of the same, with the character designs not looking spectacularly different, only a handful of heroes receiving significant, game-altering changes, and the maps being indistinguishable from each other minus lighting differences.

While Overwatch 2 was mostly sold to gamers as a standalone, co-op and PvE player mode addition to the game, with the multiplayer aspect coming second, this beta did not help to quell the players. Que times being upwards of ten minutes, champions still being unbalanced for the new 5v5 game standard, and character design choices led to a lot of pent-up frustration from the fans, which was then channeled into memes.
