What Are The Bentellect Accusations? The Allegations Made By Jordan Maxx And Other Women Explained
TikToker and YouTube Shorts reaction video creator Bentellect is facing backlash right now after a creator shared some troubling DMs. The original accuser, Jordan Maxx, alleges that Bentellect, real name Ben Tarrolly, tried to get her on his podcast just so she would hook up with him in a video, and now other creators are backing her up. Here's what you need to know about the Bentellect accusations.
What Are The Bentellect Accusations?
At the end of July, content creator Jordan Maxx made a post on X sharing DMs from a then-anonymous content creator. The DMs show the nameless content creator asking Maxx to go on his podcast, then asking if she wants to collaborate on a spicy video in exchange, since she was helping him out by appearing on the podcast.
The real trouble comes when she refuses and he cancels the podcast in retaliation, writing, "I thought it would just be fun to film and see where things go, but I got it." While Maxx kept the name of the alleged creator a secret at first, she later tagged Bentellect on X.
Since then, several other women have come forward with DMs allegedly from Bentellect, showing him allegedly being verbally aggressive with them after going on dates and trying the same podcast invite trick with at least one other woman.
How Did Bentellect Respond To The Accusations?
Bentellect's initial response was through a DM to Jordan Maxx. In the DM, posted by Maxx after she tagged him in the accusation thread, he threatens to sue her if she doesn't remove the post. Maxx even posted a video recording of herself accessing the DM to prove it's real.
His next response was an official text post to his X account. In the post, Bentellect denies the accusations, writing that he believes in human and women's rights. He mentions that he grew up with three sisters and learned to respect women early because of it. Bentellect has made no statement on his TikTok or YouTube channels, despite the comment sections being filled with memes and quotes from his DMs ever since.
