What Does 'I No No Wanna' Mean?

Early in December 2023, Twitch streamer and YouTuber tnickelss hosted a livestream where, in part, he read through a list of "Christmas confessions" sent to him by viewers. Most of these confessions were funny and trollish in nature, resulting in some good reactions from the streamer. None of them garnered quite as intense a reaction though as a confession simply reading, "I no no wanna :'(," essentially a babyish way of saying "I don't want to."

Through laughter, tnickelss says, "Buddy nobody forced you to confess anything," highlighting exactly what makes the "confession" so funny. The clip was uploaded to tnickelss' TikTok page a few days after it happened and it went viral, spiking to over 4 million views in a month, with a second upload on another of his pages hitting over 7 million views.

How Is 'I No No Wanna' Used On TikTok?

Since going viral on TikTok, the phrase "I no no wanna" has become a spam comment on the app. Essentially, TikTokers are writing it in the comment sections of videos. In particular, they're posting it under videos where the viewer is asked or encouraged to do something at the beginning, as if refusing their request by answering, "I no no wanna."

The phrase is also inspiring videos and memes on TikTok. One of the most popular examples is a video where epicgamergrandma4, an elderly woman who is popular on the app for saying funny things, says the phrase followed by a distinct groan. The clip of epicgamergrandma4 is going similarly viral to the original as TikTokers turn it into a reaction clip.
