Who Is 'Rap Battle MrBeast?' The Fake MrBeast Meme Explained
MrBeast is the biggest YouTuber in the world right now, which makes his face pretty iconic. However, in memes as of late, a knock-off MrBeast has become more prominent. The meme sparks the question of who would win in a rap battle: the real MrBeast or Rap Battle MrBeast?
Across YouTube, Twitter and TikTok, this bootleg MrBeast is making the rounds in exploitable video templates. Of course, he seems to be from an Epic Rap Battles Of History episode, but that's not entirely true.
Curious about who is this MrBeast is and why he's all over your timeline? Let's explain.
Where Did The 'Rap Battle MrBeast' Meme Come From?
In November 2021, around the time that Squid Game was popping off, a YouTube channel called Freshy Kanal posted a "rap battle" video between Seong Gi-hun and MrBeast. The video was inherently in the style of Epic Rap Battles Of History, which was a childhood YouTube staple for many Gen Z kids.
Of course, something was off about this knock-off Epic Rap Battles Of History, specifically the MrBeast guy. For your information, the man's name whose playing MrBeast is YouTuber Skitzy.
Similarly to how Barack Obama's Epic Rap Battle was parodied, the MrBeast rap battle became a trending YTP as video creators remixed and exploited MrBeast's introduction.
The first exploitation happened on January 17th, 2022, when YouTuber miiwii2 posted a YTP music video (YTPMV) that replaced the video's audio with the Undertale song "Fallen Down" by Toby Fox.
From there, the YTPs kept coming, eventually spreading to Twitter and TikTok by late 2022. As far as shitposting goes, knock-off MrBeast has proven its potency.
