Based off this gem
Here is a place to discuss problems and get things out on other users. Basically if you got shit to settle, settle it here.
Though let me lay down some ground rules:
No Ad Hominem
No derailing the thread with petty bullshit (edgy I know)
And no trying to bring others down, aka don't try to make others feel like shit for the sake of revenge.
Alrighty? Alrighty now have at it!

The "in-jokes" on this site are annoying and I don't even understand half of them.
Uh… wait a minute.
Wouldn't "ad hominem" be a pretty good term to describe the whole purpose of this thread? It's not like this is Serious Debate where we're supposed to argue positions.
But anyway, yeah, there are a couple users that really do bother the hell out of me… but I don't really feel like naming them. To be honest, while I often find enjoyment in taking a sort of dark and cynical attitude towards the world and humanity in general, this kind of interpersonal negativity kinda makes me sick to my stomach. That's true IRL, and it's true here.
I wouldn't be on this site in the first place if I didn't think you guys were a group of generally pretty cool people, and I've never stopped believing that. But sometimes, I wish a lot of you would just chill out- live and let live, you know? Of course, that's an incredibly naïve attitude, seeing as there will always be assholes that have to be dealt with, and who exactly those assholes are is almost entirely a matter of opinion. Ah, whatever. Maybe I'm just too sensitive.
(Also, holy shit, someone specifically called me out in the last one of these four months ago and I totally missed it? Where the hell was I?)

well shit.
Being completely honest here, I have no major problems with any users on the forums at the moment. I did at one point for some who are still active, but they've since improved and become cool in my opinion. If you want me to be super honest some examples are warriorman, bigcon, and NON. The first two have had a good streak for ages now and NON's been good for a decent amount of time too but compared to the others he got better pretty recently.
Some general complaints I might have are people who see riff raff as more than it really is. Like the users who want it gone from the site and think it's like some deep-seeded poison tearing the site apart or something when it's really just a board you can ignore and just use JFF if you want. The worst thing that board makes is threads that aren't funny. It's not dangerous or anything.
Also anyone self-righteous or condescending who puts themselves above others. I can't really think of anyone specifically for this at the moment it's just generally the personality-type I loathe the most, so it's just kind of a warning for you to not be this person. Don't act above others, in the end we're going on a meme-site to hang out and have some laughs. You are not better than someone else for some arbitrary reason.
So yeah I don't have any grudges against anyone specifically at the current moment. Everyone regular to the forums I at least tolerate to a certain degree even if you're not my friend per-say. Probably because I'm a more forgiving person so I usually don't see a flaw in someone and then use it as a reason to hate them. It usually takes many many flaws bundled together or a massive character flaw that affects someone's actions at their core. It's therefore rare for me to hate users or even be annoyed with them as a user. I trust before judging. Like I was complaining about the riff raff thing earlier, I see that as a small flaw. I hate no one who does that and I even like most of them.
I actually don't hold a grudge against anyone on this entire site, with the exception of a few people in the comments sections. However, this only applies to the site right now, as I am still kinda upset with someone who left a while ago.
No grudges, but still waiting for something good to happen to me. A friend or two…a note, or am I cursed to the laundry room all my life?

try going onto the irc sometime.
You know, have to say, in the past year I think any grudges and problems I had are gone, or at the very least toned own so it's less of an issue. I mean there are still some things, the mod team is still childish and the admins can be pretty useless when they want to be, but neither of these are huge problems anymore, as a site we've really calmed down.
EDIT: Oh, if there's anything though I guess you could say we calmed down a little too much, by which I mean IT'S SO BORING

I don't really have too big of a problem with any forum-goer, but sometimes I really can't stand the comment sections… At least ones for certain entries, like ones for fetishes or ones that involve Tumblr and stuff. There's so much negativity and circlejerking it's just insane. Anybody remember the FAT Hoodie thing, and how everyone was acting all disgusted over fat furries characters in hoodies?
I don't like GamerGaters because they butchered Watchmen quotes and used the film version.

I find Bob to be one of the most condescending and self-superior users on the site. He doesn't frequent the forums that often though so it's not really too big an issue.
Welp time to make my own post now.
Lakia is one of the most hypocritical and scrutinizing users on the site always complaining about circlejerking on the site and then making his own circlejerk. His complaints about riff raff get tiring and make him sound whiney as he seems that he only judges it and its people on how "stupid" they are without realizing the fact that he is on a meme site and should just get over himself.
Asura is like this too and his degree is even higher with actual whining on this and many more things that do not matter.

I have a few complaints with the users in general:
Image Moving Complainers – I have been receiving a decent amount of complaints from users relating to image moving and upvotes and viewscount on galleries. Everytime I (or another media mod) moves an image, they act like its the end of the world and the media mods are "no fun allowed" people who want to ruin everyone's day. I really don't like naming names, but a few I'd like to give an examples of are Australian Helioptile and Comjay
I'm definitely not the first one to receive such complaints (Loli, Jacob), but I am seriously annoyed by how some users miss the point of image uploading: documentation, not views or upvotes.
Jolly Jew Hate – I haven't been reading in-dept all of his post (as a TL;DRer) so I'm not going to justify or complain about his hate, but my goodness, this hate derails nearly all the topics he makes.
Users would often make fun about his opinions, spelling and grammar rather than talk about the current topic outside of Riff-Raff, even in Serious Debate. We have an entire goddamn sub-forum dedicated to shitposting and parodying users so please keep it there.
Emperor Palpitoad Hate – Again, another hate following on KYM. Sure, he makes some hateful and stupid comments, but I really dislike how many users circlerjerk on his own wall about how bad he is, instead of giving tips to improve.
They also downvote every single goddamn comment he makes , as well as any user agreeing with him. Some users, like Mako the Void Witch even stalk him "ironically" and act like they want to start a shitstorm everytime he makes an unpopular comment.
Just one last thing, I'm kinda annoyed of how some people in this thread post "Oh I don't have anything to complain about" even though this thread is for complaining, not telling everyone that you don't have something to complain about .
Seriously, if you have nothing to talk about, then don't say anything at all

The sheer hate that moderator Loli receives
Just give him a rest already. He is just moving images and stuff. Nothing life threatening.
There were users that came and went. I'm upset with most leaving because they were fun to have around, but others I'm glad have deactivated, mainly due to general hostility as well as victimization for giving them a piece of mind. The comments and forums are hilarious at times, intellectual when they need to be, and just plain silly when you need it, and I enjoy that. I wish some of the rules were more lax but it's only a personal preference and I have no problem following the current rules. I do wish some of the users I got to know over the two years I've been on here were more active but I still speak to most of them so it's not too problematic. I do have two regrets regarding this site.
The Downfall of the RP Thread
I think over fifteen or so users were part of this Roleplay Thread. We had a huge war, alliances, and enemies, all part of a huge storyline. Unfortunately, due to life issues, time, and sometimes very harsh arguments, the thread soon ended soon before its planned ending could ever happen, and it remains on my subscriptions page as a memoir.
Unfortunate Circumstances
Many issues prevented me from actively keeping up with my threads even though I frequented the forums. Whether it was focusing on research assignments or having to deal with certain problems. It also prevented me from getting to know more people on this site. But things are much better, I've got to meet good friends, and I learned quite a bit myself. Overall, I'm honestly glad that I've been here and that it's been here for me.

I hate how the KYM comment sections have become a little bit right winged these days especially when it comes to gay issues, racial issues, and feminism issues. This trend probably became popular due to the GamerGate entry trending 24/7. I also hate how some of the mods are getting unnecessary hate because of some simple actions.

Come to think of it, everyone who I had an issue with last thread has either completely turned around or… well, took an indefinite leave of the website. So at the moment I don't really have any problematic relationships in particular.
Now… this is really weird actually. KYM used to be incredibly territorial prior to the last air-cleaning. Yet now things seem to have evolved beyond that and working together has been made a bit easier at the expense of the maturity level we collectively demonstrate.
I guess to describe our current situation; the collective forces acting upon the culture of the website have somewhat normalized. It would actually be very easy to step in and re-ignite the positive forces we lost in the transition. And I'm actually becoming very interested in doing that.

Sorry, I just don't think this warrants a PM, its not a huge problem I have with you. iP I truly wanted to talk to you about big things about opinions I would but to be honest I don't have a serious problems with you, you just annoy me, theres a difference. While I bear no animosity towards these people for their opinions or anything and I won't insult those with opinions differing to mine (unless you're just being legitimately fucking stupid.) I tend to get annoyed by a lot of the anti-FNAF (I didn't want to brand people who dislike FNAF as "haters" and this was the next best thing I could come up with) people that roam here on KYM. If any of the following issues don't apply to you, or you're not in one of the specific examples I will provide later in this post then you're fine in my book. If you are, eh, just know you slightly irritate me. Keep in mind these may not be from an objective, unbiased perspective but rather my own perspective, so examples that may seem like nonsense or questionable to you are not to me. There are just so many problems I have with the anti-FNAF people that roam this site.
For starters it feels like they'll use pretty much anything as a platform to hate on the game or at the very least take shots at it, regardless of how relevant or irrelevant it actually is to the main topic. For example, take this thread, https://knowyourmeme.com/forums/moving-images/topics/33541-five-nights-at-freddys-is-getting-a-movie. Some people (I.E Spider-Byte and MiltoticExalted) really just feels like, to me, to be just wanting to take shots at the games rather than discuss the movie. These specific posts come off as shitposting to me in that in taking some shots at the game they really aren't contributing to the main topic at hand, which again, is the movie, and their honestly just isn't enough of a connection between "criticizing" the game and the movie to make those posts relevant. There are some other posts in there that honestly feel the same as the examples I provided but at least had the audacity to put the word "movie" in it so it gives it some relevancy, I guess. Another example I suppose could include how some people here are pretty salty over Silent Hills cancellation and are taking it out on FNAF as it if were some kind of antichrist, or somehow responsible for its cancellation, or if it FNAF was related it like at all, which it isn't, or because FNAF can exist and Silent Hills can't they hold this belief that there's no justice in the world which in my opinion is just fucking stupid.
Another issue I have is a lot of anti-FNAF people are circle jerky as all hell. For example take this comment chain: https://knowyourmeme.com/comments/2401688#comment_2401688. Somehow Milotic got upvoted despite the fact that he/she was factually wrong on a lot of grounds and Particle Mare pretty much hit every refutation and point straight on the head yet somehow Mare's the one getting downvoted. I suppose you can say I’m making assumptions by assuming that people are downvoting Mare cause he/she is defending FNAF in this instance, but given the fact that no one has offered any actual refutations to any of his/her arguments, is it really unfair to assume that people's anti-FNAF biases are affecting their judgement? I don't think so. Another example of circle jerking in my eyes is one of my earlier examples: https://knowyourmeme.com/forums/moving-images/topics/33541-five-nights-at-freddys-is-getting-a-movie. I'm going to again point to Milotic and Spider-Byte's posts on this thread and raise some eyebrows as to how they actually managed to get upvoted. I think I did a fine enough job pointing out these posts' irrelevancy last time I mentioned them so all that's left to do is question why these got upvoted, which in my opinion, have no reason to be. They're not that well-constructed and as I’ve mentioned before, add nothing useful to main topic at hand (the movie, not the game.) Especially Milotic's post, am I missing something? It takes a post that only arguably adds something and adds absolutely nothing to it; can someone seriously name a reason for that post to even exist? And can someone try and find a plausible reason for that to be upvoted other than some kind of circlejerk going on?
Another issue I have "anti-FNAF" people is that a lot of the posts I see from them isn't really critique; it can go into the broad category of "I don't like this thing." And honestly it just irks me there's a lack of actual critique with factual analysis to back up their claims and in my opinion it just kind of makes them see haterish and makes it easy to brand them and dismiss them as so. If you want to see examples of this just see literally anything The That Was Easy Button posts on the topic of FNAF. One major I have those is those who hate the game, not dislike it, but legitimately hate it in the full sense of the word, in some cases to the point where they direct insults to the creator himself, or want to see the creator, or the franchise fail, which honestly in my opinion is incredibly f**ed up.
Just some other trivial shit that bothers me about this group of people is that I notice a lot of them use the term "Real, Actual, or True" horror, which honestly in my opinion is literally the fucking stupidest term ever invented. It just feels like these people arbitrarily label their own favorite horror games with this, and that diminishes FNAF's quality…somehow. This is just a REALLY personal gripe of mine and should be treated as such.
In conclusion I still bear no animosity towards any people mentioned in this post or people that go under the broad list of my complaints. To sum these points these people bug me because of some of their legitimate hate, circlejerking, and hate, disdain towards FNAF where it isn't relevant or isn't needed.
@NON
To me honestly, your opinion about me has as much value as dog shit. You not even worth the effort on a decent description of why I do not like you as a user, your activity on this site for this long is proof enough.
And I never took that thread seriously, I just did all that just to piss people like you off and spread lethal doses of salt on everyone. But the funny thing is, after that thread, I noticed that riff raff threads were getting somewhat better, and were not just terrible shitposts to the point of cringe. They became more tolerable to post in and some of the time even funny enough for me to post in it. I talked to Ranomman about it and he even confirmed that though "quality" wasn't the factor, a lot of people stopped bitching and complaining about riff raff more and more. So overall, taking it out of the downward spiral it was on and actually helped redeem it (for the time being).
Also I messaged Loli after the thread that I had no problems with him at all and that were all cool about all of it.

@Laud Piestrings
Yah, the rp thread was the thing that made me find out the group of friends that I have now, and were still friends. And we still RP together. Me, laika, zarath, and captain spark one time had a steam voice chat session as we decided to read back the posts in that thread. We were all dying of laughter as much as the cringe. We were all on the same level. "what fucking kind of drugs were we on?" There were even moments of cringe so bad from my end that I had to shut my mic off because it was that painful to relive.
Fun times, you should join in on a trip to cringeful memory lane if You get the chance.
_______________________________________________________________________________
@ Lurk
The reason why everyone hates jolly jew threads so much is because of how terrible and repetitive they are. Every time, its always the same shit about how fucking innocent his terrorist like state of Israel is and how Palestine is the oppressors. His arguments have always had weak, one-sided structures and are full of false facts that gets him pissed off when people prove him wrong, which is ALL THE FUCKING TIME. And the fact that those people he keeps bashing and saying are nothing but monsters are MY people. He is so bad as a user that only he could provoke shitposts in Serious Discussions.
_______________________________________________________________________________
Now for some things I need to clear up briefly.
- I do not hate the Don jokes, I still find it funny SO LONG AS PEOPLE DO NOT KEEP REPOSTING THE SAFE FUCKING IMAGES OVER AND OVER ON EACH ENTRY. I find it funny so long as people can be creative and original about the joke, I am fine with that. Just stop spamming the same shit all the time.
- Like I said above, I am more tolerant to riff raff as before, so long as people could make the threads funny enough.
- I still do not give a shit about what people think about me.
Thank you all very much

I'm going to keep this short and simple, and I won't sugarcoat it.
This is a meme site. There are so many shitposters and overused memes that memes in general aren't funny anymore. They're dull and uninspired. You could go so far as to say we've "matured". Yeah, weird to say right? But this site and the internet as a whole has moved away from advice animals and rage comics to other things, be it controversies, community/fandom specific jokes, etc.
The internet is this crazy place of conflicting opinions, butthurt karmawhores, shitposters, and people that think they are the coolest kid on the block for getting 50 likes on your image or understanding a meme reference in real life.
Yeah, well I certainly would not want to be associated with this. Who would want to be associated with bumbling kids and brainless memers? It's a joke to bash the jokes.
Things like these are very hard to explain to people in real life about what you do. I visit a meme site. I frequent reddit. I like anime. Chances are they will laugh or be disgusted. We have a bad reputation. We are awful people. There are nice and social people here, but still a lot of users that overreact and are overly superficial and monetary. I still think KYM as a whole takes everything with a grain of salt, and just like salt in real life, it'll dry up the good parts.
This is going to be my final statement and closing words, as well as my final post outside of forum games. I don't care if you disagree, you are inclined to.
Know Your Meme, its community, and the internet is changing. Memes are no longer as amusing and funny as they used to. There are arguably better mediums to share your interest of anime, MLP, real world news and issues, etc. Why are you here? Are you still here for the same reason?
@Asura tbh i was not referencing that thread. I've seen you guys complain many other places. I am though glad you see a bit more light on things. Also "activity" means nothing. Do you mean what I do in forums or comments? You're not specific at all and you should remember that how people act in riff raff is different from how people act everywhere else.
Every entry regarding drawing The Prophet always breaks my heart. The commenters on those entries just makes it worse for me. i want so say something but knowing how unforgiving the comment users of KYM are, all i can do be salty at them.
My real anger is really towards the comment user base in KYM. The Forums have been good to me so i don't have any problems with any of you guys.
I don't really have any problems with anyone here except for an exceptional user but we all know about that. Other than that only people who are serious attention whores or constant whiners are people I really don't like. Oh, and Bob too but I guess he can be tolerable sometimes.
Anyway my point is exactly what 21 said, it's just boring and unappealing around here most of the time now.
[doesn't see my name being brought up]
Oh good guess I haven't done anything to really rustle anyone… yet.
As for me? I feel like too many users go to the comments of the paraphilia entries solely to leave "WTF IS THIS SHIT?!?!?! KILL IT IS FIRE!!!!!" comments rather than taking a moment to ask "okay I'll bite, why are some people into this stuff to begin with?" which is something I'm happy to explain if asked. Those "WTF" comments can be amusing at first, but after a while it gets tiring to see that as the only response about 80% of the users give. I'll admit maybe I do take those entries too seriously, but even so I would just appreciate more questions of intrigue than comments of disgust.
A lot of the reasoning for hating GamerGate. Mainly, the "Its always trending" one. Little personal story, when I first started coming to this site, the big thing was My Little Pony. I wanted nothing to do with it; I didn't understand why it was so popular and I had no interest in ever watching or even seeing images on it. I realized that, despite its massive popularity, KYM is big enough that you can fairly easily ignore it and see a million other things. That's the only argument that gets me because of how lazy it is.
Captain Blubber wrote:

pretty much this…
While I still enjoy being a user because yet I have nothing to prove, no one to "one-up", and the content I think is great since I don't have the time to go around find all this stuff around the internet and the researchers here do a good job of this.
The entries are good and most are interesting to me but I do feel that the whole "mod and user" echelon makes me feel like I'm "not as important" as a mod or some users want me to feel like I'm "worthless" because I don't do entries.
If I find something that I really like I will research it. I'm not going to go do all this crap to prove that I can be a MOD or what ever. I feel like people judge you on your contributions too much.
As far as forums go, after a few years on this site you will notice alot of repetition, and whether you like to participate or not is entirely up to you. So I try not to complain so much.
I take the comments with a grain of salt_. --
If you aren't used to seeing people let off their own personal hate then where have you been since the creation of anonymity?
If I decided to be negative I could easily pick apart individual users yet I see no gain from doing that instead I like to find similarities between myself and other users so that our experience can be enjoyed.

I hate most of the GG base due to writing off all of tumblr as SJWs. But the cake goes to fan boy, who acts like somebody accused him of murder if somebody says "gg is bad". The commenters are jerks for resisting mods that move there image to a less-popular gallery because they need sweet sweet karma. Also, they hate anybody who does not use there site. Use 8chan? Toward both Pro and Anti GG on this site;
Chill the fuck out.
Both sides are treating the other like pure shit while believing themselves to be all high and mighty on the other side when in truth I see just as much shit on one side as I see on the other. Its the reason I backed out entirely. Neither side will allow for an outer viewpoint, they won't see the good in each others' arguments, and overall both take what, two or three examples from either side as the representation of the whole argument.
I'd like to see both just cease with the dimwitted jokes about each other and stop acting like they are better than each other. GG acts like Riff-Raff is a bunch of egotist kindergarten chuckles whereas Riff-Raff sees them as edgy overreacting teens, when in truth, both describe each other rather well but refuse to see the flaws they themselves carry.
I'm not flawless here either. I am guilty of acting like I'm on one side whenever it is convenient; and that goes against my own fucking moral of sticking to your guns. So I'm clearing the air against myself too; I'm looking to stop being such a side-changing asshat. I'm pro-GG, but I see that the comment section is filled with holes and stupid shit and the same goes for those acting like they're superior to them. Overall this just makes everyone look bad, and I'd love for it to stop.
