After being absent from store shelves for years (except in South Korea), Oreo O's cereal is back. They don't have the marshmallows, but of course they didn't when they first came around. Right now, they can only be found at Walmart, this may change in the future. I actually managed to get these last night, just as they were about to put them on the shelves (even though they were supposed to be there the day before).

Hey, let's talk cereal for a bit.
How do they compare to a cereal like Cocoa Puffs?
I initially liked to eat Cocoa Rice Krispies but I eventually started to dislike the flakiness of the rice once it dried in the milk.
With Cocoa Puffs I like the chocolate milk it leaves behind better than Krispies and it doesn't get all flaky since its puff grain and doesn't get as soggy.
This looks like a type of cereal grain that I dislike but sometimes some cereals have unique flavors so I'm wondering how does it compare.

I eat all my cold cereal dry (even Grape Nuts), so I don't know how it holds up in milk. What I can tell is that Oreo O's is made with corn and oat flours. This makes the texture similar to Cap'n Crunch, a cereal known for staying crunchy in milk. I don't think it'll turn the milk chocolatey though, since it's supposed replicate dunking Oreos in milk. Then again, I don't even do that; I hate milk, unless it's used in recipes that is.
Hmm…
Well I've never had Cap'n Crunch to make a guess. I've been judging it from their circle shape, most circle shaped grain cereals I ended up disliking like Fruit Loops, Lucky Charms, and Cheerios. I guess you could say my preferred cereal is really dependent on how the milk tastes along with it.
It could also be something like Reese's Puffs cereal, it's ok but it makes the milk way too sweet to my liking.
From the pictures it looks like it might be a Reese's Puffs kind of cereal. I might give it a try, I've eaten plenty of Oreo's with milk before.
Hmm I wonder what other 90's snacks would be nice to have make a comeback?
I'd throw my wager on Dunkaroos, those things were the best. Even though it was essentially just giving kids frosting for a snack.
Capn crunch, froot loops, and corn pops are the crack of cereals that i remember, never had cocoa puffs before, not sure if you could get them here when i was a kid. There were some things we couldn't get in canada but living really close to the border and travelling across a lot i knew about them. Dr Pepper, Reeces Pieces and Salted nut rolls are good examples of that.
