My Little Pony- Friendship is Magic, fantastic right? I know that me, and all the other Pony Lovin' users on this site have invested a lot in ponydom. But heres the question- Will it end? If so, will my avatar go back to Rorschach juggling Pies, or the Warden getting chewed on by raccoons? Will your's change too? And will we become internet outcasts like all the users of ED? (^-^) My question for you KYM, is what will happen to all of the pony users on this site when Friendship is Magic inevitably goes down in internet popularity? Will we revert back to our normal, Desu spamming ways, or do you think MLP will live on? Your Call…

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'll probably go back to the Nazi knight avatar.

I predict that in 4-6 months y'all will go back to Desu.

I think of MLP as basically Touhou. So I'm pretty sure it'll last a long damn time.

The people that are new to the show will keep posting em. After a while those users will get tired of ponies and MLP posts will slowly decrease and become a old fad. It's not over yet though. It will probably lose popularity half a year after they finish the last episode. Desu? Not likely. By then some other meme will become more popular than it.

It'll fade eventually, but not anytime soon. Since a second season is in the works, I'll give it six months to a year. Who knows what other memes will pop up by then, though.

Maybe season two will be 20% cooler.

MLP won't fizzle out for a long time. Especially here, because this fad caught on harder than TF2 or Touhou.

Naw seriously. Unless Hasbro cancels it, this thing will last until Lauren Faust gets bored with her hordes of internet puppets.

People already have tons of mods for this. Only one player model so far, but tons of weapon skins, and icon swaps for the class selection screen. Most of the mods are based on this line-up:

Also, to answer the original post, MLP will have a devoted fanbase as long as we have awesome folks like Lauren Faust, Jayson Theissen, and FiTP working on it. And as long as the fanbase stays friendly and inviting, new fans will keep coming in. The uproar will most likely quell a bit between seasons, but it definitely isn't going to die away. As was already mentioned, we're dealing with popularity rivaling Touhou and TF2, and that was all before season one even came to a close!

I'm a little afraid to see what will happen over the summer without new episodes. People will want moar… moar fanfics… which might also translate to moar clopfics. Oh gawd D:

Y'know, a lot of people stuck with their Christmas avatars well into March (cole train changed his avatar eventually, but he's still "cole sled" for some reason). If that can happen, surely MLP could go on indefinitely.

MLP from what I've researched won't downfall for like…a while.

And even so MLP if it does make a downfall which I believe it won't, it will leave a big impression on everything. I mean it's quality basically from what I know.

I think there MIGHT be a dip for a few months, with the lack of new episodes an'all.
If there is, S.2 will bring it back, with a vengeance.

I'm expecting Lauren to go to another show any day now.
When profits start going down for toys, Hasbro's going to have to do something drastic.
Even if that means rebooting MLP… Again.

I say we just watch and see the internet is to unpredictable to….predict
