i always wondered… what makes this type of jokes so damn funny and so damn popular?
perhaps because we know the sterotypes are all false, or maybe is fun to laugh at a diffirent person, but not hurting his feelings…
it's very interesting…

and to start off here is a couple of racist/sexist jokes… please do not take anything seriuosly, hell if you want you can bring up racist jokes about jews as well, it's all in good spirit…

But the question remains, why are they so funnu?

From a psychological standpoint, these jokes are enjoyable to many due to the fact that they release small amounts of ingrown hatred or annoyance towards another race or gender. For example, a white male who works at a KFC and deals with african americans day in and day out grows a bit of animosity towards 'blacks' and will probably say 'racist' jokes to get out the aforementioned hate nonviolently. One could almost say they are a bit of miniature therapy.

tl;dr It is funny because it feel good.

And the reason why these jokes are funny is because people are:
1. Assholes
2. Yet to mature
3. Take it very lightly and are not offended by it (in which case they have matured)

True Incident: A young man in a village refused to believe that Allah has total control of everything. He claimed that Allah cannot make him eat food if he didn't want to eat. Being compassionate, his mother decided to leave the food under the tree incase her son finally gives up and wants to eat. When the night fell, a group of robbers were passing by that tree. They noticed a plate of delicious food placed under the tree. They looked at each other in amazement and thought that someone must be playing a trick on them. May be someone is trying to poison them with good food. They looked around to see if there was anyone nearby and noticed the young man on top of the tree. The robbers got him down and told him to eat the food to see if it is poisoned. But the young man refused to eat as he is still carrying on his challenge against Allah. The robbers became suspicious and started beating the young man to eat. He gave up and started eating. Seeing that the food was not poisoned, the robbers left him and went away. Finally, the young man admitted that yes, Allah has total control of everything!

i have to disagree, all the racist jokes are know never involve types of people that i dislike, i love everyone.
i think racist jokes are SO FUNNU is because we are all laughing at a prepostrous sterorypes.
and honestly, people who are offended from racist jokes need to man up, because it's all in good spirit in the end…(most of the time…=\)

and now for a sexist joke:
a woman was ran over by a bike, who is guilty?
the woman – what was she doing outside the kitchen!?

after further investigation the bike driver was found guilty, how come?
-who drives a bike inside a kitchen!?

after even more investiation they found someone else who is guilty, who?
the road designer – who places roads inside a kitchen?

Racist jokes are funny. Deal with it. It doesn't matter what race you're talking about, they're all funny. Everyone needs to laugh at themselves sometimes.

Here's one that I find funny. For reference, I am Jewish.

Even though I am Jewish and this is making fun of Jews, I still find it quite hilarious. You need to have a sense of humor.

I think you are both right. The fact is humor is made of bad sentiments expressed in a harmless way. But when it's used very hard you can clearly see it's a stinging weapon.
