Top Game: Okami

Out of all the games I have played, it was the only one to make me cry in the end. And not only that, it made me cry twice within the same 5 minutes!

Adventure: Legend of Zelda, Majoras Mask
Action: Muramasa the Demon Blade
Platformer: Super Mario Galaxy
RPG: Fire Emblem Series from 9 and beyond.
Shooter: Touhou Project Series
FPS: Metroid Prime Trilogy
Fight Game: Soul Caliber 2

Honorable Mentions: Super Smash Brothers Brawl and Tales of Vesperia.

It's sorta difficult to say just one, but I'd have to say:

I'd have to go with this classic.

The one game that kept me playing for a good solid 4-5 years, and I'm still playing till this very day, is World of Warcraft. Love the lore, love the classes, love the music and the atmosphere. Sure, it can get on my nerves. Sometimes you'll get hit by the nerf bat or get lucky and get a buff. But, even with the ups and downs and some stupidity within the company and community, it's a game that holds a place in my heart. I mean, sure, I love Sonic 3 and Knuckles, Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Mario Kart, and Super Smash Bros.

But, WoW just left more of an impression that those games could never do.
