Why the rest of the internet hates you

I adore MLP:FiM, and would defend anyone's right to watch it to the death.
But…

I haven't actually watched the show in almost two years now
I only got up to halfway through season two

That's gotta bring me hate from the true fans who say I'm not if I haven't seen the whole show
And hate from people who hate MLP (which is okay)

I don't like Call Of Duty, Battlefield, Half-Life, TF2 or a lot of violent/realistic/first-person games like that. TF2 I could get behind if it had a better community, but that's only a maybe.

That's why I'm not excited for stuff like the PS4 or Xbox One: Too much focus on "edge" and not enough focus on how the actual game plays. I'd much rather play the Wii U, or, worse yet, older game systems.

Not like I never play modern games. But while people look forward to getting games like the next installment of Mass Effect, I'm looking forward to getting rare game titles like Beatmania, or waiting for the next Wario Land.

oh god so alone in the world of gaming

I love the wii u…
I really don't care about the brony wars…
I actually don't like anime.
I'm kind of bad with textile.
Stuff people clop to is kinda hot…kinda….
I think everyone that complains about apple is just a bitch….

I also like Angry Birds. I feel like all the criticisms of it are just what TvTropes refers to as "Accentuating The Negative".

I think Super Mario Galaxy is boring.
I think Perfect Dark is better than Goldeneye.
I didn't think Wind Waker was that great either.
I think CoD 4 is a good game.
I found Lord of the Rings to be too long and never got halfway through the first movie. I tried reading the books too and never paid attention to what I was reading.

Bro, I totally got you. I haven't even finished Season 2.

The Galifreyian internet hates me, I think. Can't really tell, since basically their whole internet is in time-lock and I can't tell the difference between the uniques and the infinitely repeating views, posts, etc.

I actually don't have a favorite all-time video game console (Wii U, PS4, Xbox One), but I prefer PlayStation and Wii U. All of my friends around here are Xbox Fanboys, and they all attack me with walls of text when I say anything mildly negative about Xbox.
I begin to feel like Jerry:

I didn't think the Mass Effect 3 endings were that bad. I certainly had issues with them but I didn't think they were really as bad as everyone seems to make them out to be.

I go on the extreme with this. I only played ME3 with the extended ending, and honestly, I thought it was really good. I know people bitched about how it really came down to one final choice that neglected the entire history of the game, but honestly, I liked that. I'm not sure if I can describe exactly why I liked it so much, but I did. Maybe it was because the final dénouement explained things from a perspective that I hadn't considered before, but that really ended up making a lot of sense. Maybe it was the seeming simplicity and clarity of the final act, which belied the far-reaching implications of the decision. Maybe it was because if you actually get involved with the storyline, instead of playing for combat, the ending actually means something to you. Whatever it was, I liked it.

The Digimon anime is the shit (mostly), and the Pokemon anime sucks (mostly).
These are opinions- I fully understand that- and yet I expect the internet's reaction to be something like this:

Other than nostalgia faggots who haven't watched pokemon anime since they were six, most people agree with you.

I don't think that everything was better in the past. I love technology and progress.

I also like freedom. A company wants to pay their manager 500k per hour? It's their money, not the government's.

I think Firefly is better than Star Wars and Star Trek.

I think some modern artists are actually better than the Beatles, Queen, etc. Not Bieber or such, but others.

I like soccer. Watching it and playing it.

I think Summer Glau is prettier than Emma Watson.

Even though I live here I don't like American culture either. What I like is English culture.

When it comes to Cartoon Network…I actually kinda liked the Problem Solverz. Don't get me wrong, I love Gumball, Regular Show, and Adventure Time, it's just that, to me anyway, it just wasn't quite as awful as I thought. (Might help that I'm used to crazy artstyles like what TPS had, and proved to be its downfall.)

(It's so difficult to get something like that out there, that I actually got downvoted into oblivion when I mentioned liking it on a thread about things that you like that everyone else hates.)

I just don't get Homestuck. It's not like I never tried it, or that I hate the fans, I just can't get into it.
I mean, maybe it's the medium, maybe it's the clown makeup trolls, maybe it's the fact that my friend spams my feed with the shit, I just can't stand it.

Do you mind if I ask why?

For me, I'd have to say that I completely despise negative opinion on the internet, it's stronger when it sounds more correct, but sometimes a public internet opinion on something in a negative way is usually tied with public ignorance to how good/bad it really is.

Like for example, the Xbox One reveal, there are problems with the console to public opinion, but there are many people out there that make it sound like the end of the world, which is silly.

That's just me…

don't hate.

Aside from their pop music, English always tend to be more sophisticated about things. But of course not all the music that comes from there is bad, there's plenty that I have liked that's from there and hasn't even crossed-over in the U.S.A., like Arctic Monkeys, The Heavy, and even acts that are known here but only so much is well known like Joy Division, Dexys Midnight Runners, Blur and Oasis.

Our media seemingly enough presents a sophisticated nation, but you must consider the public as well. It's not like everyone is as posh as Benedict Cumberbatch for example.

I have a jacket from Abercrombie and eat a Chik fil a
Sorry, I just don't care about what the CEOs think. I don't buy their products because of their beliefs, I just like chicken sandwiches and that jacket.

Watch the movie Fish Tank by Andrea Arnold. It will give you an idea of how England really is, at least among lower income families. I mean, I've been to England before and I don't find it to be too different from America. You have sophisticated people as well as ingnorant and trashy people. The thought that England is a haven for the sophisticated and educated people is just as wrong as thinking Japan is a haven for weeaboos.
