Hello again, dear forum, It is I, Tarsus, the heroic caveman guy who has been resting for 1000 years! Umm, I mean the new OP! Today is my 2nd OP, so I decided to make it better than my first. This time, we'll be making up fictional stories about anything that can come to your head. The format is very simple:

Title:
Genre: Steam-punk
Story:

Now, if you have a wild imagination, let it run wild on this thread, as your master hands hit the keys and type out perfect words on a sheet of the internets.

Title: The System
Genre: Phresh
Story:
It was your average day in New York, good weather and clear skies, it was about midday….
We find our man, Gerald, walking down the city streets heading towards the local game store to pick up a copy of the newly released instalment in his favourite video game series, He was just a few steps from the aforementioned store before having his path rudely blocked by a salesman, he quickly and ever so uncaringly hands him an energy drink, who Gerald is reluctant to accept yet not given a choice on the matter.
"Run faster! jump higher!" the salesman shouted in his fattened voice.
Gerald, who by this point is quite taken back replies back with an equally abrupt manner…
"Maaan! im not gonna let you poison me!" and at the brake of those words he releases his fury upon the pavement by throwing the tiny bottle of liquid earthward, the salesman is quite shocked by this outcome and takes step back, the surrounding public have taken notice and continue to watch….
"You must think ima joke!" roars Gerald, yet his brutish words show no sign of stopping,
"I ain't gonna be part of this system! maaaaan!" and just like that he continues on his way, leaving the distraught salesman to wallow in his rejection

Title: Maria
Genre: Horror
Story:
The service was beautiful, but had been over for a few hours now.
As Johnathan returned home, a mid-summer breeze carried the pungent odor of goldenrod. The house welcomed him with warm greeting, but was received instead as a stinging reminder. He crossed the room, turning down pictures and covering mirrors--a custom he had preformed once for each of his parents.
Dusk settled, as twilight poured through the windows, filling the house in a resonating orange hue. He then grabbed a bottle from the kitchen and drank gulps from it as he continued up the stairs. Johnathan opened the bedroom door with one hand, his other occupied with a now half full bottle of vodka. He stood at the mouth of the room for a moment, fixated at one spot on the bed.
Then, he grabbed a picture on top on one of the wardrobes and placed it at one side of the bed. He then momentarily walked into the bathroom, retrieving a razor. As he laid down on the bed, with one hand he held it to his throat, so it caressed his skin, and with the other grabbed for picture frame. His final thoughts slipped out;
Together forever, my beloved Maria

Title: The Dice
Genre: Ghost stories
Story:
Once long ago far far away from the big city was an inn just outside of a lonnly village.
the inn was a popular place for the towns folk to come and drink, talk or share stories with one another, everyone knew each other and the mood was always good except for one day, you see every yeah a hooded stranger would visit the inn always the same day and he would always sit in far corner alone. one time a young man walked up to this hooded stranger, they talked for a little while before the stranger asked if the young man, whos name was david, if he wanted to play a game of dice to which david replyed yes

he sat down as the hooded stranger explained the rules: each player roll two dice the one with the highest number of eyes win the round, each time you win i will place a coin on the table. for every victory i place one more coin on top of the other and i will do so until i roll a number of eyes higher than yours, you may then take the coin tower that i have build before we switch roles and you have to build a tower yourself.

"sounds easy enough" david replyed. they sat down at the table playing for a little while, at the end of the first game david had won a 11-coin tall tower "not bad" spoke the hooded stranger " ready for another game?" to which david nod.
the second game was short david had just placed his first coin when the hooded stranger rolled a pair of eyes higher than his. david watched with a smile as the hooded man pulled out his arm to take the singel coin from the table but was surprised to see that after the strangers hand had moved over the coin it was still there. david looked up wondering why he stranger didn't take the coin that he had won but to his surprise the hooded man was gone and no where to be seen. shortly afterwards david noticed that the inn was mostly silent, had he really played for so long? what time was it? confused he stood up and searching for any clue that might help explain the hooded mans sudden disappearance, but after a short while with no luck he turned his attention to the coin and first now he noticed that this was not the same coin he placed on the table, no this coin was not his and as he picked up the coin for a closer look he saw that both sides was marked with a skull.
