Didn't the mods used to enforce a "no AMAs" policy to avoid this very bandwagon, or am I remembering this wrong?

The mods aren't alowed to enforce rules beyond no spamming and legal-related stuff in JFF anyway, so it doesn't matter.

Less of a policy and more of a "shut the fuck up" than anything else.
