Am I the only one doing No Fap September this year? (Year Two)

If you don't know the joy of fapping then it's easy to never fap at all. You don't miss a sensation you've never felt.

Of if your close other is pretty open to sex then I guess that makes it easy too.

But those that have fapped before and cannot get that gratification any other way find it near impossible.

That said. I failed on day 1

Since I try to live my life w/o fapping at all of course I'm taking the challenge. My friends think I'm weird for wishing I didn't have a libido but I seriously wish I didn't. Fapping is an annoying compulsion that only serves to waste my time for a quick bout of literal self-gratification. I hate it.

I've also gone three extra days, so while this is day two of No-Fap September, it's day five for no-fap me. I can easily go without fapping as long as I don't accidentally come across something extremely boner-riffic, which then turns into a battle of chess between my brain and my penis.

I'll try it too.
I want to know what happens if you don't cum for a whole month.
Sometimes I endured about 2 weeks so it would feel better, but anything would get me in the mood.
Now, I want to know how I'll do in the month…

Go on. Search for it. It won't ruin anyone's No-Fap month.

Nah.
Call me weird, but I don't really get turned on by anything that isn't out of the ordinary.
Other people, however…

If today's September 2nd, and you fapped two days ago, that means you fapped on the last day of August. You're still in, buddy.

He probably gave up, fapped and lost again.

I failed already yesterday without even realizing it anyways.

Also, do wet dreams count as masturbation?

That's a trick one, because I consider NFS to be a challenge to suppress your sexual urges. If that's the case, you have to consider where wet dreams fall under that. Since you supposedly could stop the sexy actions in the dream, I'd have to perhaps consider wet dreams as failing.

I've actually--and I'm serious here--somehow developed a "safety mechanism" against wet dreams. I've only had two or three, but now whenever a dream of mine gets extremely saucy, I abruptly wake myself up. This is probably the closest I've ever had to lucid dreaming, and don't know how I achieve such, but I'm really glad that I do. Cause no guy wants to wake up to creaming his pants.

I'm out.
You had to go and post my waifu, didn't you?
I haven't fapped that hard in years. I even fapped 7 times in a row before taking a break and then fapping another 5 times.

I didn't have a wet dream… yet.
I'm scared, because almost everytime I spend more than a week without fapping, I start having wet dreams.
And most of times, I let go and finish.
So I try to fap at least once every week.

Hey guys. Do you ever have one of those days where you wake up in the morning and you have nothing planned all day so you just masturbate in bed until you cum four times and then you look at the clock and it's three in the afternoon?

I said I wasn't going to take part in no fap September this year, but I've decided to start now. I know it's three days late, so I'll just wait until October 3.

Meh.
From a biological and logical standpoint, I think it's pointless to try to repress your own healthy sexual urges even if it's just as a relatively short challenge. (Of course, if you're asexual or the like, this doesn't apply.) At the very least, it seems kinda like "Don't Scratch the Crack of Your Ass January".
But that's just my two cents.

Guys, my roommate's gonna be gone all day, and I don't even know what to do with myself if I can't touch my own wiener.

Rent a bunch of movies and marathon them. Preferably violent movies that don't form boners. I'd suggest Se7en and Saving Private Ryan for starters.

What sick bastard decided that the month to not fap coincides with the month that I return to a school full of barely-legal scantily-clad women…?

This has suddenly become far more difficult than before. I'm honestly not sure if I will survive.

Try to see it from another point of view. There are plenty of reasons to try.

1) It's a challenge. It's difficult. Some people can't resist a dare, and, for others, doing something hard is its own reward.

2) Breaking habits. You don't need to fap to survive, and even if you don't have problems with it, it feels good to say "I actually CAN stop if I want to."

3) Self-Mastery. Okay, this is sort of repetitive, but being able to control your urges is considered very mature and respected in many cultures. Something something Buddha.

4) Lastly, some people feel that masturbation and the pornography that accompanies it are societal ills or moral downfalls. This reason obviously doesn't apply to everyone, but, for thoroughness' sake, it is a motivation for some.

Ah, what the hell, I've got an open mind. Usually.
Sometimes.
Occasionally.
Rarely.
1. Okay, I totally get this one. But as I already implied, it's just not my type of thing. Going off your own example:
For any video game, it's important be some kind of reward for advancing and completing it, especially for the NES-era Eleventh Circle of Hell types. Storylines, pioneered in this context by games such as the original Ninja Gaiden, are the primary means to this end- they make you care and want to complete them. Or, at the very least, you get to brag to your friends. (Okay, that's usually it.)
What I'm trying to get at here is that no one really does something just to do it. There's got to be something else. But what about here? What happens when you stop masturbating for a month? Do you lose ten pounds? Become irresistible to the opposite sex? Or are you planning to brag about it to your friends? (cough)
But maybe that's just the way I look at it.
2. The main problem with this idea is that when one wants to "break" a habit, that implies the intention of never doing it again. But that's not the point of the exercise, so… what? If you have something you really like to do, you don't have to try and stop doing that thing just to test your willpower. Trust me, if you need to stop, you'll be able to.
3. Yeah, I guess there isn't anything really wrong with this idea. I suppose i just don't care.
4.Okay, sure, thoroughness, but it's still a terrible, horrible, awful reason. Human sexuality has been suppressed and repressed by religious doctrine for far too long. Bottom line is, no matter what anyone says, it's healthy and perfectly natural.

With this big wall of text behind me, I'd like to add that you can do whatever the fuck you want. Your life isn't mine to live. However, you should still question yourself every once and a while. If you don't, you just might end up a big ol' asshole like me.

Some of you people are really getting me curious. At what point do you reach the "event horizon" of arousal in which you and your dick both know you're going to eventually fap? Hell, I can look at sexy pics/gifs and even view actual porn and still resist the "absolute" urge to fap. Sure, I may have a massive throbbing boner during that time, but I can still resist stroking it or what have you.

Good luck out there.
