Hi guys, I have become inspired by something humourous and actually, probably an interesting question that most people wouldn't think about.
"What is the first thing you would do if you were magically turned into the opposite gender, without warning and by an unknown cause?"

I will not give the sauce of my inspiration until later, to help keep the results untainted. I will be asking the question in other places, recording my results and posting them when I am finished. I will stop collecting data from this thread, should it continue until then, until Jan 1st, 2014. I will hope to compile a short paper and a graphical representation of my findings. Any and all help is greatly appreciated, please PM me if you are interested in helping conduct this research.

If nothing else, it would be an interesting metaphysical and psychological question to find out what people would do.

Possibly, who actually knows? That's part of the metaphysical thing we do not understand. Here is the idea a little more in depth. It is like you were born the opposite gender, you are not just suddenly a feminised or masculinized version of your former self. You are entirely and totally changed from the ground up into you, but you if you were born with with the opposite set of chromosomes. Your are the same personality wise, you know exactly that you were not always like this, that is all unchanged. I am assuming you were originally attracted to the opposite gender, but again, that can not be confirmed or implied in this exercise, cause we have no prior and confirmed real life accounts of this happening.

All we can assume here is it changes your gender. No known effects on sexuality, orientaion or anything relating to changing your personality or anything of that nature. However, it could possibly do so. Effectively, you may become just yourself in the body of the opposite gender. However, the hormones and fact you are a different consciousness in someone else's (effectively this is true) body may effect you in some way.

The side effects of this happening are unknown, because you would be a consciousness within the opposite gender's brain, and there is always something fundamentally different between 2 different brains. An even simpler way to think of the possible side effects is kinda like what happened in the episode of Fairly Odd Parents where Timmy wished to be a girl, or where Jimmy and Cindy got swapped consciousnesses. We don't really know what would happen, we haven't even been able to put another being's brain on another being's body and have it function properly (assuming no head on donor body).

I honestly though about a scenario like this once and my conclusion is that nothing will change for me personality wise.
