The best ways to motivate people is with boobies is highly subjective as ones personal initiative can be supplied in many ways, yet those various ways will have different impacts depending on how relevant they are to personal interests. EG: The best way to motivate a highly spiritual person could come in the form of religious or philosophical awakening but this will be less of a motivator to those who are not.

But we can definitely say that what fundamentally lies at the core of motivation is having goals in life. Whichever those goals may be, what motivates you will likely be the thing that guides you towards those goals

In the case of Dota 2: an environment of leagued competition against other people; it is reasonable to then suggest that the best way of motivating someone in Dota 2 will be to have that personal goal of beating the competition and rise above the leagues. And also more specifically; having a nemesis to compete with
