Every once and a while us KYM'ers will post a picture of our own; either addressed to someone in particular on the site or the community in general. That is what i'm trying to do as of now (something for the holidays). Unfortunately, this is also my first time doing just that and I have no idea how.

Could someone with experience tell me how to work with this?: "I have taken a collection of photos, and I would want to merge them all into one long image (so it reads like a comic strip, with each picture reading like a "panel"), and each picture ("panel") will have it's own dialogue."

If someone could help me with doing this then I would be extremely grateful; really I would. (P.S: If it matters, the computer that I use is a late 2011 13in Macbook Pro, running on OS X Lion)

First, you need a program.

If you don't already have something better, and you want to keep your wallet fully intact, I recommend GIMP. It's an open-source image editor with lots of possibilities, though it can be a little daunting at first. It's the poor man's Photoshop.

What sort of photo editing software do you have? In the unlikely scenario that you have MS paint, you can use Paste From to put a bunch of images in the same file. You can just click and drag to change the canvas size. If you have Photoshop, you can go to image → Canvas size, and adjust it that way. To put multiple photos in the same file, you'll have to open them separately. To move one picture into the same frame as another, right click it, then select Duplicate Layer, and select the file you want to move it to. I can't help with whatever the macbook has. I don't know about GIMP either. I'd assume that it's similar to photoshop.

And you were right about it feeling daunting, oh boy am I gonna have a ball trying to figure this out (something I will educate myself on, don't sweat it). Though quite honestly I want to say thank you, for not only pointing me in the direction of a free photo editing software (as opposed to the hundreds of other "free" ones that only give you viruses) but also getting me the thing that would work best for me.
