I'm willing to write a fanfic for some of the entries people have posted. Here's my take on the Rock Band and NBA apocalypse crossover.
After losing to the Clippers, Dirk Nowitski of the Mavericks got a text message with some weird prophecy. It stated that if Lebron James and the Miami Heat won their third consecutive NBA Finals this year, the world would end. However, there was only one way to stop the Heat. Dirk contacted Blake Griffin of the Clippers, Kevin Durant of the Thunder, Jeremy Lin of the Rockets, and Dwight Howard of the Lakers and told them to form a rock band. They all agreed as Dirk was the lead singer, Griffin was the guitarist, Durant was the drummer, Lin was the bass player, and Howard was the keyboardist. On the day of game 7 of the NBA Finals between the Heat and the Mavericks, the Heat were winning by two points with 6 seconds to go. Suddenly, Dirk and his band played Painkiller which distracted the Heat. James turned into a demon as he tried to stop the band, but the Mavs took the ball and shot a three point buzzer beater in order to beat the Heat. With the power of rock and roll, the band destroyed James and the Heat thus saving the world.
