What can't he take?

The amount of hate and pressure on him caused by this game was probably too much. He's a single-man developer, not a multi-developer team. People try to compare Flappy Bird like he was trying to competing against high-end games.

I feel sorry for him for all the shit he's been getting.

Not true at all. We have no idea what has happened to him. All he's said is that he wants to be left in peace. He's probably just a guy who doesn't like attention.

@Bob

We may not know what happened to him, but what Lone K said is more than likely. The guy said he wanted to be left alone. That means people were bothering him

You know how the internet works. Anything that gets attention (famous or infamous) on the internet is liable for a shitload of hate that spills all over anyone involved.

And Flappy Bird got a ton of attention for being an incredibly rage inducing game. It's not the most rage inducing, and it's pretty minor and insignificant, but people don't care about the comparisons when this is the one PewDiePie played.

Whenever minor insignificant things get the amount of attention that only major things should. There's always going to be people who go the opposite extreme and attack it for getting that attention some way or another. Going by internet standard procedure; it is highly probable that Dong Nguyen was receiving hate mail, harsh critiques, bad reviews, trolls and the overall shame of having something with his name get plastered all over the internet as a horrible monster.

Unwarranted fame like this is often applied by the internet itself, beyond the targets control, bringing in loads of complications that the subject didn't ask for. Dong Nguyen was understandably not prepared to handle that
