"The worst feeling"

Basically just say what, in your opinion, is the worst feeling to feel.

For me it's "feeling like I forgot about something and/or forgot to do something but I cannot remember for the life of me what it was." Every time this crops up I feel so awkward for a good while because I know I have or had to do something but without knowing what it was I can't do it.

This, I'd imagine.

Seriously, though, I don't think routine anxieties can really hold a candle to the panic and fear that someone must feel when they experience some grievous physical harm. Imagine the terror of some kid who just stepped on a landmine and lost half of her body. Wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

I admit when I made this thread I wasn't really looking for feelings relating to something like physical harm. This may make me sound like a jerk, but I don't imagine most of us here live in situations where having to worry about landmines is a day-to-day thing.

I guess maybe a better name for this should have been "the most common First World Problems you tend to experience." Or does that only sound like me trying to downplay my own personal anxiety issues as "really common"? I think I'm basically derailing my own thread now in record time.

@PM

And then the theme song starts playing and you realize you're an extra on a Doctor Who episode and almost guaranteed to die within the next 45 minutes.

I can't speak for having half my body blown off, but I've had some semi-severe injuries before, and I've always felt much calmer than usual immediately after them. I've got no idea why. Maybe it's just adrenaline, or maybe it's relief that I have a clear-cut problem with a clear-cut solution for once.

Not to get really fucking real in here, but I'd have to say realizing the person who's driving you is very drunk, and (specific to the times that this happened to me) not really knowing another way to get home. "Dread" is the perfect word to describe it, and yet it still feels like an understatement.

When you say something to someone and you feel like an idiot. When you don't say something to someone and you feel like a coward.

When you have to choose between too choices that make you feel terrible no matter which of the two you choose.

I would imagine that the feeling of wanting to surgically cut out your retinas randomly while you're doing visually intensive tasks such as driving would be the worst feeling ever.

This reminds me of something I hate about hanging out with stoners. Because stoners half of the time like to pretend that since driving high is a little less dangerous than driving shit faced drunk, they always push me to drive them home because I'm the only one who can afford owning a car. It's very, very annoying and I always tell them to fuck off and let me sleep it off or else don't smoke with me.
