Countless British acts have been popular on the U.S. charts for decades, but some that were immensley popular in the U.K. such as Take That or Westlife only had one hit in the states. I think we should use this thread to appriciate songs from British acts that weren't popular in the states but were in their homeland. One of these I like to point out is an act that's already got big success in the U.S.A., but only recently. This is his second single released back in 2004.

Oh come on, they didn't even make the charts in their homeland with Pete Best.
I always thought it was a shame that Dexy's Midnight Runners were one-hit wonders.
According to my research, these guys topped the charts briefly in 1997; I wonder what happened to them?

Not so much actually British but more Australian (but then again he's lived in both countries), I believe Tim Minchin deserves more worldly praise for his clever, naturally-brilliant, funny as hell tunes.
